In 2004, Japan enacted the "Gender Identity Disorder Special Law. Although many transgender people have cleared the requirements and changed their gender, there are still some people who want to change their gender but are unable to do so because of the high hurdles. The film also depicts the difficulties faced by transgender Japanese, including the voices of parties who were campaigning for the law when it was enacted, relationships with fathers who did not understand, social peer pressure, gender barriers in job hunting, and problems with transgender minors. There are many complex issues such as anxiety and loneliness that GID/GD/transgender people in Japan face in their daily lives, and this film was made to make people aware of these issues.
