A married couple in their late thirties head to a medical conference to a countryside hotel. As they travel through the country in their car, the wife spots a man slapping a girl on the side of the road. Her husband claims he has seen nothing. They stop to check what has happened.

István Hevesi graduated in film studies in Budapest. Hevesi has worked in multiple areas of the film industry: as assistant director for short and feature films, and editor, writer and director for television series. DEER (2020) is his first short film since film school graduation.
