FLICKERING LIGHTS: Short Film Block

THE BREEZE tells the story of a lonely old man living out the final moments of his life. The sound of a broken, creaking door and a disruptive breeze coming through creeps into his dreams, leading him to reckon with feelings of remorse. It isn’t until a live-in nurse ends the source of the breeze that his dreams come to an end.

Ozan Turgut was born in 1981. Until 2013, he played amateur and professional football with 17 different teams. After the loss of his younger sister, Turgut left football and began his journey as a writer. He wrote poetry and video treatments that have been used as lyrics and turned into music videos for 14 songs that have collectively garnered 400 million views across YouTube and other digital platforms. THE BREEZE is Turgut’s first short film and directing debut. He is currently working on new short and long feature film projects.
