Director's Statement
Negatives was written when I was working very long hours at a previous job. Other people who worked the same job loved the long hours as it meant they were paid overtime. While I can see the positives of that decision, I think they're outweighed by the negatives. While Negatives has a relatable message, it is still first and foremost a fun horror movie that can be enjoyed by anyone.
Director's Bio
Jimmy Gannon is a 36 year old filmmaker based in Sydney, Australia. Jimmy's background is not in film but in the Royal Australian Navy where he served for 15 years. In 2017, Jimmy's love for film took him to Vancouver, Canada where he worked at a production rental house. During this time he met other filmmakers and worked on multiple short films. He also co-wrote, co-produced and directed the photography on his first feature film 'Murder Box'. Upon returning to Sydney, he and his wife had their first child, Stevie. Stevie was the inspiration for producing his own short film 'Selfies'. He has since honed his skills and produced his latest film 'Negatives'.
