In the old village of Al Wakrah, a mischievous 8-year-old girl would do anything to stay out of the kitchen and spend time with her father and older brother at sea. To curb her desire for adventure, the girl's mother tells her magical myths about falling stars, but this only stirs the girl's curiosity. When night falls on Al Wakrah, she sneaks out alone in search of a fallen star, but her adventure comes to a halt when she encounters a Jinn. In this beautiful film about imagining a world beyond gender norms and everyday tasks, we see a determined girl chase her dream and marvel at the wonder of the night sky.
