When imagination and freedom of speech are hindered by pre-determined boundaries, only a higher power can provide a breakthrough. Rami's encounter with "his friend in France" proves this thesis, and with a little impulsivity and imagination, the young protagonist learns a bit about himself.


About the Filmmaker


Akram El Bezzawy, born in Egypt, is the author and director of Journey in Search of Abu El Araby, a short documentary that was chosen to participate at many international film festivals. Prior to this, El Bezzawy worked as an assistant director for Exodis: Gods and Kings by Ridley Scott, Saraya Abdeed by Amr Arafa, and a number of mainstream commercial advertisments.
