The Young Audience program is dedicated to Nordic-Baltic films that approach an older children segment, from nine and up. Four film compete in this competition and are contenders to get the best award for children’s film, judged by the local children’s jury. Four diverse stories whit a different visual approach, that takes the perspective of a younger audience into more sensitive themes and intimate sphere.

Tommy Vad Funderud & Markus Vad Flaaten started making Flash cartoons on their dad’s computer when they were 7. Inspired by the thriving Newgrounds community and the Pixar golden age of the 2000s, they started doing freelance work at the age of 13, which later led to character design work for a Mexican animation studio which later led to directing Space Chickens in Space for Disney, which lead to making 10 short films about our emotions with the wonderful Norwegian producer and scriptwriter, Joakim Skavern.
