Nordic-Baltic Comp: Children’s and Young Audience Film

The Young Audience program is dedicated to Nordic-Baltic films that approach an older children segment, from nine and up. Four film compete in this competition and are contenders to get the best award for children’s film, judged by the local children’s jury. Four diverse stories whit a different visual approach, that takes the perspective of a younger audience into more sensitive themes and intimate sphere.

The schools are in lockdown due to corona, and Lilly, age 10, must stay at home and take care of her drunk mother. When the bad girl from class sees what’s going on at home, Lilly thinks her secret is in danger but sometimes help can come from where you least expect it.


Endre Lund Eriksen is the director and producer of the animated short Home Office, produced by Fabelfjord, Tromsø. He has written the screenplay for two feature films as well as several shorts, among them Dunder (2016). He is also an award-winning author of mainly children and young adult books. Many of his books have been translated to other languages, such as "The summer my dad turned gay" and "Pitbull-Terje runs amok".
