On a Navaratri night, Krishna, unsure of how okay she feels in her well-planned okay life, meets Alia, who is free-spirited and can speak eloquently about everything, including pani puri. Roaming the festive streets of Ahmedabad, these two young souls may have the chance to fall for each other.

There is something both delicate and wildly exuberant that permeates every frame of the film, as first-time director Aarti Neharsh empowers her characters to reclaim the male dominated Indian streets, at liberty to wander aimlessly and to express themselves liberally. The effortless performances by the two charismatic leads beautifully capture the drunken feeling of falling in love and the bittersweet taste of unfulfilled desire. 

DIRECTOR

Aarti is a graduate from FLAME University Pune, holding a major in film and television. After working for almost three years with Green Chutney Films as a director and a writer of advertisements, she makes her debut in the short film space with THE SONG WE SANG. When not seen behind the camera or scribbling on her fdx page, she can be found sitting in a corner, sketching human portraits.
