There is no better time for some good bickering between father and son than when stuck in Los Angeles traffic on their daily morning commute. This, and some hard boiled eggs on the go, have constituted Haris and Imran’s daily routine for the last ten years. Thankfully, this is also the time when Imran gets a daily call from Uncle Alim, his beloved brother back in India.

In this layered portrait of a family unit whose core has been shaped by emigration, a stellar cast sensitively captures the emotional turmoil of three men trying to hold onto fragmented threads of connection despite the growing distance that separates them, and finding pockets of profound intimacy along the way. The film captures the emotional landscape of the diaspora experience with quiet simplicity and clarity.
