Market of Hate began as a whisper in March 2023. The whisper became a deafening shout on October 7th. It's a cry for compassion, our need to resist the powerful forces that promote fear and hatred in order to divide us, while all that time, they are increasing their own wealth and power.
ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:
Candy Kugel, a longtime voting member of both AMPAS & the TV Academy has made over 12 award-winning indy shorts acquired by The Museum of Modern Art Archives (NYC). For the past 40 years, with Buzzco Associates, she has created TV programming, educational films & ads – most notably MTV’s initial launch, Talking About Sex for Planned Parenthood (Annecy Cristal), and WGBH’s Between the Lions (Emmy). Her independent 17-minute DVD It’s Still Me! has become a valuable resource for people with aphasia.
