Belle and cheddar aren’t regular bries or cheddar cheese
That you’d find in the supermarket as you please.
They are sassy, yellow and the best of friends,
They even share videos with each other on weekends.
Yet, today is a different day, as Cheddar makes an assumption,
And Belle overreacts amidst the risk of public consumption.
A cautionary tale for cheeses of all shapes and curds,
That there can be both love and hate from our words.

Director's Statement
I have always been obsessed with cheese and stop motion and I never thought that would be the opening line of a director’s statement either. Somewhere along the lines whilst living in a global pandemic, mostly alone, I began to look around to objects in my kitchen and my house that seemed to be talking to me. Crying out for me to bring them to life.
I thought it might be fun to invite a cast from around the world to bring my food to life, in a whacky, comical way, but also with the goal of saying something pertinent about the world we now find ourselves within. It was important to me to make a film that could apply to the plights of people of all shapes, sizes, genders and ages.
Whilst living in a world that is increasingly more and more on our smart phones, I have become acutely aware of the struggles of people from all walks of life to find acceptance within online communities. I began to think about alternative ways for people that make assumptions to atone for their wrongdoings. Could they rise to the occasion and atone from their incorrect, inaccurate or toxic beliefs? Could they simply have a timeout away and then be given time to re-evaluate their assumptions?
The best case scenario is they are accepted together with open arms, the worst case is they are immediately eaten alive, like a couple of delicious cheeses in the supermarket.
