
“My Tiny Friends” is a 3D animation about an artist who does not like her work. The video shows her inner space during her journey of artistic creation. The main character, Sasha, meets cute imaginary creatures that pop out from her imagination. But she destroys them because she doesn't like them. Eventually, she realizes that it is self-hatred that made her destroy herself and her world. At the end, Sasha learns that she should be happy by embracing her imagination and herself. The video unleashes the message of "loving ourselves" in a sense of wonder.
Director Biography - Jiyoung Park
Jiyoung is a 3D Animator & Motion Designer based in New York City. She loves to tell magical stories using adorable 3D characters. She studied in the Film & Animation department and got her BFA from HongIk University in South Korea and worked as a commercial 3D character animator and as a motion graphic designer. She continued studying 3D design and motion graphics at the School of Visual Arts MFA Computer Arts program in New York City and graduated in 2022. She works in the animation industry now and continues to have a passion for making her own film.
