Director Biography - Julianna Romero
Hey!
My name’s Julianna and I’m a Filipino-American animation artist. I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, the home of Pete Davidson & the Wu-Tang Clan.
I’m a filmmaker, director and story artist currently studying Character Animation at the California Institute of the Arts. I’ve worked last summer at Illumination as their story intern under the mentorship of AnChi Shen & Pepe Arean, and I’ll be the an intern this summer at Warner Brothers Animation.
I hope to continue making stories that talk about underrepresented topics and identities in a fun, accessible (and sometimes musical) way ;-)
In my free time, I love sketching outside, taking dance classes, going to museums, listening to K-pop, and a solid skincare routine.
