A short comedic record of one man's attempt to upload a video to YouTube from an ocean liner in the middle of the ocean. Each attempt fails yet he struggles on, never giving up. Until he gives up.
Director's Bio
I’ve written and directed funded short films (Screen Queensland and Screen Australia) and have won various awards for my films, including winning the Best Film Award at the PictureStart Film Festival in New York City, plus winning the Best Director Award at the Shorts in Paradise Film Festival on the Gold Coast.
I’ve also written, produced and directed my first feature film, a last person on earth drama called ‘1’ staring Dan Ewing from ‘Home & Away’ and the ‘Occupation’ films.
Director's Statement
Fun Fact 1 - the film was shot over the area of the North Atlantic where the Titanic sank in 1912.
Fun Fact 2 - it is ironic that my film was made several months before Apple announced that their new iPhone 14’s, where no standard connection exists, can connect to satellites in case of an emergency. The whole not-being-able-to-connect-my-device-to-a-satellite is the basis of my film.
