STORY BEHIND WHY WE MADE THIS FILM:
It was the first day of term two, where our drama group had just returned from easter break. In that lesson, we decided why not make a short film to enter it into the SF3 film festival. After some discussion and general planning, our drama teacher Aaron Scully decided to put us into a group of three, so each group could come up with their own ideas together and submit it to the festival. It was actually Alice Perry and Mrs. Noodles who came up with the idea of “ Always Watching “. They thought it would be a great idea to make a film that focused on someone who is suffering from Mental Health issues, who is in denial that ones perceptions create their reality, which then ultimately create their actions. Once the group all got together and started to plan the plot, everything just fell into place.
The process of directing and filming Always Watching was a very interesting and creative endeavour, that the cast thoroughly enjoyed.
Everyone did so well in the process, it was a learning curve to be sure, but we all had a great time!
