This short film is set in a classroom. Try-hard Olivia always wants to do well, but the class clown, Jason, is there to muck around. When prim and proper teacher, Miss Karen recaps what the class should know for the English exam, the students are left stunned. Do they really need to know all of this? But of course Olivia completely understood Miss Karen's 7.23 words per second (the fastest rap verse in the WORLD). Watch out Eminem!!!
Shot on iPhone XS and is a #FILMBREAKER first-time filmmaker.
Director's Bio
Olivia Mae Fuller has been performing since she was six. She is now 14 and in Year 9 at school.
She is passionate, dedicated and driven and willingly spends her free time training, producing and performing.
Olivia started out on stage and has almost 80 speech and drama medals and trophies under her belt. Most recently she won 'Most Outstanding Speaker of Prose', all ages, at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod.
In 2018 Olivia won Queensland's 'Barbara Sisley Performance Award' for the best speech and drama exam mark in the State, and got to perform at a special awards ceremony at Brisbane's Parliament House.
In 2020 she started her screen acting journey, quickly jumping from the 'Talent' Division (for extras) to the 'Management Division' of highly-respected acting agency, Williams Management. She is regularly called on to audition for international feature films and Australian TV series' - and hopes to have good news to share in the coming months.
Olivia has volunteered her time to 4 student short films this year, working with students from Bond and Griffith Universities.
Earlier this year, Olivia was 1 of only 12 kids from a pool of over 1,500 teens worldwide who auditioned to be offered a year-long mentoring placement with the American Arts, Film & TV Academy in LA (AAFTALA) and every Saturday she attends a full afternoon of valuable online classes to learn the BUSINESS of acting.
An aspiring screen industry 'boss' of the future, Olivia has been appointed Assistant Producer (at the tender age of 13) and lead actress, working with a short story author and Executive Producer in Walton County, Florida US, to produce a short independent horror film - 'The Crematorium Attendant's Tale' - here on the Gold Coast later this year... with any proceeds going to charities that support child victims of abuse and bullying.
Olivia recently performed at the Australian Youth Finals of the World Monologue Games and came in the Top 20 in the Global Finals of the WMG.
Fun Facts from Olivia
I conceptualised, scripted, performed, filmed (on my iPhone XS) and edited this short film (using an amateur editing app called CapCut) all on my own within just two hours.... I just did it for fun!! But then my film got a lot of attention from acting friends so I decided to enter it.
I loved performing as all 3 characters in my film and particularly enjoy playing with comic timing.
The film features my version of Eminem's Godzilla rap verse (pausing instead of saying the swear words of course). It is the fastest rap verse in the world, featuring 225 words in 31 seconds ... what a tongue-twister!
